Psycho Alert....Warning!
OMG, is 183 really high for baby's heart rate? Someone help me before I Google myself blind. Maybe the U/S Tech made a mistake?
I'm sure it's fine. The heart rate will fluctuate with any movement the baby is doing. It will be lower when the baby is sleeping, higher when baby is moving around. I wouldn't worry.
Every morning when I work out on the elliptical, my heart rate goes up to about 172 beats per minute, which is supposedly more than 100% of my heart's maximum rate. But whatever. I'm still alive.
The heart is beating, and that's what's important.
Hey Jen, very happy the U/S went well, but I also think there should be special clinics for us Infertiles, we need extra special care after all dammit! Sorry I don't know about the heartbeat, but I'm sure it's fine. Babies are always much much faster than ours anyway. Hang in there, hoping for the very best for you!!
I'm a 32 year old married 5 years to a funny, loving Husband. I have been struggling with Infertility for 4 1/2 years, saw a couple of OB's, was put on Chlomid for 4 cycles, developed some nasty cysts, taken off Chlomid & not allowed back on due to cysts. Finally saw an RE in June 06', had a laparatomy in July of 06', had some stage 4 endometriosis removed as well as my left Fallopian Tube. Proceeded with IVF in January 07', got pregnant, lost the baby at 18 weeks in June 07', now moving on to FET in the fall.
